ASDP Charitable Foundation

Vision statement: We envision a world where the sewing and design industry is made up of well trained, highly skilled, and fairly compensated professionals whose unique skills, expertise, and workmanship are respected and valued.

Mission statement: Our mission is to support students pursuing education in sewing and design, educators teaching the next generation of sewing and design professionals, and to the extent permitted by IRS interpretations of charitable purpose, small manufacturers and other sewing and design entrepreneurs.

At the ASDP Conference in October, 2025, a check for $3000 was presented to the Raleigh, NC Chapter of ASG in support of their remarkable program to provide sewing machines to local school sewing programs. The image on our banner is from a class for Ukrainian women in the Portland, OR area, provided by Women-Sew Global Foundation - the recipient of a grant in 2024 from our Foundation. Our goal is to raise an additional $5000 before year-end in order to be able to continue to provide funds to deserving organizations next year, and in years to come.
