This Giving Tuesday Help Students Mitigate Online Toxicity

This Giving Tuesday, every dollar you give to the Digital Futures Initiative will ensure that one child receives digital citizenship coaching. For just $25, you can help an entire classroom of kids better navigate our online worlds in 2019.

The Internet saw an unprecedented amount of divisiveness, awkward comments, and troubling incidents online this fall thanks to the general election. Our children, our online worlds need a fresh dose of digital citizenship.

Consider moments like Dan Crenshaw’s kindness towards outrage fueled by an off-color bullying comedy skit. We know that bullying, harassment, shaming, and other dark online behaviors can be mitigated by digital citizenship.

But digital citizenship begins in school and at home. Educators and parents must lead the way, and help students discern how to read, post and interact online. Even more powerful, our students can reject online harshness and lend a hand of kindness.

Help tomorrow’s digital citizens today on Giving Tuesday.

About the Digital Futures Initiative
