Friends of Felines Inc

At Friends of Felines we focus and specialize in TNVR (Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return) of the over abundance of community cats in Miami Dade County. We strive to make a difference and be part of the solution and to educate the community on the importance of spay and neuter. Spay and neuter saves lives. We take pride in being able to help contribute to helping the over population problem our County is facing. During TNVR Projects we come across a significant amount of friendly cats and kittens. The friendly cat's and kittens we come across we will  rescue and take them in off of the streets so that they can have a better life that they deserve. We will place them with one of our wonderful dedicated volunteer fosters where they will receive proper quarantine and will be treated for any medical conditions they have from mange, ringworm, various skin infections and wounds, upper respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, eye injuries and the many other more serious medical conditions they may have. Once they are fully vetted and are ready for adoption we will place them for adoption in the New England states and transport our adopted cats and kittens up North where they don’t have an over abondance of cats and their dump rate for animals is very low compared to here. We have placed many cats into loving homes including ones with FIV and FELV. We are a no kill rescue and believe every cat and kitten deserves a chance. 

Friends of Felines also is active in feeding and maintaining over 100+ community colony cats each night. All of our colonies are treated monthly for fleas, given ivermectin when needed and dewormed every other month. 

All of our colonies are completely spayed and neutered. We also provide cat food to other colony feeders on a monthly basis.
