Expanding homeownership to all residents of Kent County builds foundations for healthier and happier families and a stronger community. In numerous housing reports, data indicates a growing disparity of affordable housing available in the county. Kent Attainable Housing, Inc.(KAH) was formed in 2019 to help address the urgent need to provide affordable housing and the absence of any private or public agency charged with this responsibility in the county. We buy property, design or renovate homes, landscape the yards, and partner with limited-income families to buy their future home. KAH builds the capacity of our applicants to successfully own a home through required workshops in financial literacy, home ownership, and budget management. KAH utilizes community volunteers and partners to help make the homes affordable and mentor applicants through the process.
