We Need Your Help To Qualify For a $100,000 Grant!!!

Moore Public Library  What is your first thought when you hear the name?  A charming historic building?  Helpful, friendly staff?  Crowded?  No community room?

For the past fifteen years, the library board has put aside funds while pursuing a cost-effective solution to address the needs.  When an adjacent, two-story building became available two years ago, they purchased it to double the library space.

Well, it’s time for an update.  Help us renovate the building to include the following:

Community Room  Meeting rooms in our area are scarce. A community room in the library will offer a place for local groups, schools, and businesses to hold meetings and workshops.

Elevator   A critical element of our project is to provide accessibility for all.  An elevator and an enclosed pedestrian bridge will enable the use of all the library resources, including the community room and our soon to be acquired local historical collection.

Improved Technology   In our community, internet access is slow and unreliable for nearly half the residents. This project will provide technology workspace and the highest speed Internet available.

The total cost of the renovation is $845,000. The fundraising campaign, “Building Moore Library for our Community” has already raised $284,000 in cash and pledges, the Board has added $100,000, and your help is needed to earn the rest.

Strong libraries are a cornerstone of strong communities.  We need your support.  Please donate.
