WAGEP International

WAGEP is a nonprofit organization committed to empowering marginalized communities, especially women, girls, and children, in Liberia and other underserved regions. Our mission is to promote equity, social justice, and sustainable development through community-driven programs that address the root causes of poverty, inequality, and lack of access to essential services.

One of WAGEP's core initiatives is focused on mental health support and empowerment for women and girls affected by trauma, gender-based violence, and social stigma. By providing mental health counseling, group therapy, and awareness campaigns, we aim to break the silence surrounding mental health and ensure that those affected receive the support they need to heal and thrive.

In addition to mental health services, WAGEP also runs projects like the Eco Soap Initiative, which provides vocational training in sustainable soap-making, giving women the tools to start their own businesses and become financially independent. We also address critical issues such as adult literacy, menstrual health (through our Period Poverty Project), and food insecurity.
