Save the Animals Foundation has been working to rescue, shelter and rehab for over 30 years.  Saving #JustOneMore means we are committed to the long term care and shelter for dogs and cats in the tri-state. Our fundraising efforts on Giving Tuesday mean we can continue our work! 

Funded entirely by donations and operated by volunteers, our no-kill shelter currently homes over 300 dogs and cats, many of whom have been abused, abandoned or literally tossed away. Teams of volunteers work with the animals two shifts a day, 365 days a year, providing them with a safe and caring environment until we can place them in permanent, loving homes. Over the years we have matched thousands of lucky animals with equally lucky families.

We've been there for many, but so many more still need us.  We can only do it with your help and support!  Every rescue makes the world a bit better - it all matters and we can all make a difference!

STAF would like to introduce this year's spokes cat and dog and share the story of how they  they came to STAF. 

Tux is a magnificent one year-old, FIV positive cat that we recently rescued from a rural Kentucky shelter.  STAF has an entire wing for FIV and FeLV positive cats, and has placed many positive cats into wonderful homes. Tux has already proven to have a winning personality along with his striking looks and we are excited to find him his forever family.

Spud is a big-headed hunk that was originally found running as a stray along a very busy road. We don't know what or where he was running from, but we are just grateful he made his way to STAF. A volunteer favorite Spud gets to enjoy enrichment activities like long walk outdoors, car rides and training to get him in tip top shape for his forever family.
