Happy Persian New Year (Nowruz falls on March 19, 2024 this year). Nowruz is celebrated on the vernal equinox (first day of spring) each year, and the start of a new year gives us the opportunity to reflect on what is important to the families in our community. Animals are family in San Diego, so making sure we have a strong safety net of animal support programs is important.

Council Member Kent Lee has a goal to raise funds to support low and no-cost spay/neuter surgery for residents of his district, to make sure all beloved pets have access to this necessary surgery. This is especially important this year as the local animal shelters are full of adorable pets that need loving homes and spay/neuter is the most effective way to reduce unwanted animals from entering the shelters.

Join Council Member Lee and his puppy Lucky in celebrating Nowruz by making a donation to Spay Neuter Action Project (SNAP) and help us fund a clinic for residents of District 6.
