A LETTER FROM CHRISTINE ROUSE

Dear Friend,

AWB has exciting news to share with you. We are in our 17th year of providing extraordinary theater arts programming to people with physical disabilities. There is a lot of talk lately about creating inclusive, yet diverse, communities, and AWB does that by transforming lives and building self-esteem in an empowered community of people with physical disabilities through theater that celebrates ability. Thanks to you, we have successfully grown in breadth and depth, from one program in 2004 to five programs running simultaneously in 2021.  With our powerful current programming, we now turn to ensuring our future and expanding our impact. In fact, our current operations are financially stronger than ever.

At the end of 2019 we began the framework for creating an investment fund that perpetuates our impact for future generations. Then, of course, the pandemic hit. After weathering the worst of the pandemic, AWB emerged stronger than ever through our pivot to virtual programming. We recently returned to our plans to secure AWB's future. We are thrilled to share that discussions with a lead  donor and the AWB board, underscore how committed our community is to our shared long-term success.

You have been steadfast and devoted in your support of AWB. We do not take your generosity for granted and we rely upon your annual donation for our yearly programming expenses. In addition to your critical annual support, we ask that you consider a gift to AWB’s Legacy Fund. A commitment from you now insures your legacy in one of our four giving societies. Your generosity and commitment to our mission is astounding, and we hope you will join us in ensuring that AWB continues to be a place of transformation and inclusivity for people with physical disabilities for years to come.

Best,

Christine Rouse
