There is a persistent wealth gap amongst communities of color that is exacerbated by a lack of access to education, asset-building, and income opportunities across the nation.  Locally, there is a significant gap in connecting low-income and minority young adults to tech opportunities in San Francisco, the Bay Area, and beyond, that would create pathways for economic prosperity.

aims to provide untapped young adults with the support they need to prepare for and launch a career in the technology sector, and build wealth and prosperity for their families and communities. ’s programs also provide a much-needed diversified pool of qualified candidates to technology-focused companies.

Over the next three years, we will be creating the next generation of tech talent in partnership with local affordable/public housing underserved communities, community-based nonprofits, the City of San Francisco, technology companies, public, and charter high schools, post-secondary institutions, and afterschool programs.

’s program targets low-income diverse young adults ages 16-24 in the Mission District and surrounding affordable housing properties owned by Mission Housing Development Corporation and the San Francisco Housing Development Corporation. Young adults in San Francisco’s low-income communities face multiple challenges to socio-economic success, including high poverty, low educational attainment, displacement due to real estate speculation and evictions, limited job opportunities, language barriers, gang violence, and victimization by predatory financial services.

’s program is designed to link together several elements of training and support in order to offer these young people the chance to achieve self-directed work, educational, technical skills, and personal goals.
