Copper is a very handsome, brindle Boxer mix that was surrendered due to no fault of his own – he was growing bigger than his owner thought he would (normal size for his breed) and she felt her kids were too little to handle his size. This sweet boy is only 6 months old and has now found himself away from the only home and family he’s ever known and in a loud, crowded southwest Virginia shelter. Southwest Virginia shelters often have low resources, low foot traffic, and higher euthanasia rates, putting larger dogs like Copper at higher risk.
