This girl is a survivor - let's help her!

This poor girl was likely dumped. We have reported her but don’t expect anyone to claim her. It’s hard to imagine what kind of hell she has been through. She showed up at a home in Independence and was literally begging for help! The homeowners weren’t able to keep her because the resident cat AND dog both wanted her gone and it wasn’t safe.

We couldn’t leave her behind because it was obvious she needed help. And she was also so sweet – all she wanted was love, even with obvious medical issues. With a pledge from the amazing Jennifer Roberts and funds from our medical assistance budget (which at this point is just money we take out of our spay/neuter budget) we took her to the vet and thank goodness we did! This girl is going to need surgery to survive. She has sustained multiple injuries and they were all infested with maggots.

We have a foster who can pick her up from the vet and nurse her back to health, but she will need surgery first (and then some serious groceries).

Any amount you can provide to help her keep on her journey will go a long way – not just for this girl (we are calling her Liv) - but for so many others who need all of our help.
