Support Environmental Education in NC!

Hello Friends, Family and Colleagues!

I am raising funds for a non profit, Environmental Educators of North Carolina, and working toward a goal of $1,000.00. Help me reach that goal, and I’ll take a polar plunge off the NC Coast this January! 

I am currently within my sixth year on this organization's board of and currently have the honor of serving as president. If you know me, you know I value our natural places and have committed both my career and volunteer roles to providing access to nature for young people of all backgrounds. It is a true pleasure to work and volunteer along so many dedicated and talented people who share my passions!

Our work supports the efforts of classroom teachers as well as non-formal educators who use the outdoors, museums and other institutions as their learning resources. Kids spend an ever increasing amount of time indoors and away from the sensory-rich experiences that nature provides. Please help support these efforts to ensure the children of North Carolina receive the experiences they need to gain an appreciation for the environment and the benefits of mental and physical health the outdoors provide.

This organization has taken big strides in the past year, and we expect to have even more impact throughout the state as we soon hire our first ever staff position, an Executive Director. Please join our efforts in this exciting time!
