Memorial for Kathleen Finnerty

I met Kathy Finnerty almost 20 years ago when she joined Audubon Florida's EagleWatch Program.  Kathy watched many eagle nests in southern Pinellas and reported on them.  She also joined me on many trips to go and see Lynda White who was the coordinator of the statewide program at the time. We also took a trip to the Keys together to meet Dr. Rob Bierregaard who is an osprey expert. Kathy then joined my OspreyWatch program and reported on all the osprey nests at Fort DeSoto.  She was very persistent in wanting to put in platforms for the ospreys at the park.  She joined me on many installations at Fort DeSoto and other places and took many photos of the ospreys which we use in our presentations about ospreys. Thanks to previous grants from Duke Energy we did install quite a few osprey platforms at Fort DeSoto .  We would like to install a platform for Kathy as a memorial should the funds be raised.
