Even through cold metal bars, you can tell Louis is one very handsome Great Pyrenees pup! At 2 years old and 90 pounds, he is a big boy living his prime years in a cage at a rural VA shelter. We aren't quite sure how this amazing guy ended up in such a lousy place, but his outlook isn't great. The shelter has very low adoption rates and high euthanasia rates. Louis sleeps on a hard cement floor every night and listens to dogs barking constantly all day. It is a stressful environment for even the most well rounded dog. Homeward Trails is determined to transfer Louis from his barren cell to a loving DC area foster. Unfortunately without your help, we don't know if we can make this dream become a reality.
