Hoping to Beat Heartworm

Nala is heartworm positive and given her history, we aren't surprised. Nala is 6 years old and spent her life chained up in someone's yard before coming to Homeward Trails. She struggled against her chain, trying to explore more of the world around her or to go inside and experience warmth and love. She didn't receive routine vetting like vaccines - not to mention preventatives. Preventatives that would have kept her from becoming heartworm positive. We don't know how long it's been since she was infected. But now that's she's off the chain, the important thing is getting her treatment. 

It's not too late for Nala to turn her life around. We can start her treatment, clear the disease from her body before permanent damage is done. She can have a long happy life, with your help!
