Sandy is a 6 year old retriever who was found wandering along. She came to the shelter as a stray, and no one came looking for her. She's sweet, but a little shy. After all she's been through, we can hardly blame her! She's a little underweight and still adjusting to having regular meals every single day. Who knows how long she was on her own.
Sandy needs our care and compassion, and someone to help her find her way to the right forever family that will never let her feel lost or lonely again.
Sandy has also been dealing with some HORRIBLE teeth issues! The photos below show brown spots on her teeth--that's the EXPOSED ROOT! Imagine how sensitive and painful those teeth must be, how uncomfortable she must be all the time! Eating, grooming, playing...everything hurts.
Sandy will definitely be needing a dental, and will likely need those teeth removed. The brown spots on the k9s on the teeth photos are exposed root which can be extremely painful so she will likely need those removed as soon as possible to provide some much-needed relief.
