Spay and Neuter to Save Lives!

Something BIG is happening in Southwest Virginia: Affordable, low-cost spay and neuter for dogs and cats! 

The Twin County Humane Society is bringing this life-saving opportunity to animals in the Twin Counties and beyond. 

We are facing an animal welfare crisis with more homeless, abandoned, and unwanted animals than ever before. 

Our local shelters are constantly in code red status, and that means the worst. 

Most of these animals are the result of unwanted litters. Some people don't care, but most pet owners would choose to spay or neuter their animals if they could afford it. 

Whenever we offer a free or reduced cost spay/neuter clinic we have many more sign-ups than available spots. 

Spay and neuter is the most effective and humane way to reduce the population of unwanted animals. And it helps the animals that are already here stay healthy and safe. We have been helping with spay and neuter for 25 years, but it's not enough. We need MORE. More appointments, and more affordability. That's why we are starting a brand new low-cost spay and neuter clinic for Southwest Virginia pets! 

We would like to introduce the TWIN COUNTY PET WELLNESS CLINIC! 

We will be offering spay and neuter of dogs for just $35 and cats for $25, including life-saving distemper/parvo and rabies vaccines plus microchips at no additional charge to help keep our animals healthy and at home. 

And if people can't afford those fees, we will cover the entire cost.

But we can't do it without your help! In order to keep prices affordable for local residents, we are charging less than what it will cost us to do these surgeries. A monthly donation of just $50 will provide the funds for us to spay or neuter 20 additional animals each year! Even just $10 a month will help spay four animals per year. 

No amount is too small. WE NEED YOU to make this work!!! Funding even just one spay or neuter will mean the world to that animal and help stop generations of suffering.
