Many of our friends and family know that Aidan was diagnosed with Eosinophilic Esophagitis, also known as EoE. This disease is a chronic digestive disorder in which eosinophils (a type of white blood cells) are found in abnormal amounts in the esophagus. It is an auto-immune disease that causes the body to think food is a parasite and attacks itself. The increase in eosinophils make it difficult to swallow. Aidan would constantly feel as though the food was stuck in his throat and he couldn’t get it up or down which then would cause gagging and throwing up.

Thankfully over a six month period,  several food allergy tests and a couple endoscopies we were able to get Aidan’s eosinophils levels from 121 to 2 by eliminating corn products and daily acid blockers.

Unfortunately many other kids are not as lucky to find the “trigger” as fast as we did.

We would really love your support in helping continue the research for EoE. $1.00 will go a long way in helping reach our goal. If you are financially unable to donate I just ask that you share with friends and family to help spread awareness.
