Hans and Creek's Hearts are Breaking More Each Day

Han is only two years old and Creek is only one, yet they have already learned what it feels like to be completely alone. Found abandoned in rural Virginia, they don’t understand why the world suddenly became so quiet, so empty, so frightening. One day there may have been a person, a place that felt safe, but now there is nothing. Han and Creek sits in a rural shelter where the nights are long, the sounds are unfamiliar, and no one comes just for him. It’s hard to imagine how confusing and scary that must be for a young dog who only ever wanted to belong to someone. Dogs like these often fade into the background in places like this, overlooked and forgotten. Homeward Trails wants to pull them to safety and give them the chance they deserve, but they can’t do it without sponsors. Right now, Han and Creek are still waiting, still hoping someone will care enough to not leave them behind again.
