Puppy Left in a Trashcan and Covered in Fleas

Sweet young puppy Trudie, only 3-4 months old, was found in an abandoned trailer in southwest VA. Her owner left her there, without food or water, and she was forced to scavenge through a trashcan for meager scraps of food to keep herself alive. Trudie is terrified; not to mention she is covered with fleas and ticks and severely malnourished. Thanks to the heroic efforts of our partners, we got Trudie to safety. She will need boarding and medical care immediately - tests, treatment for likely anemia, Lyme and heartworm. She'll need vaccines and spay. And she'll need love and care.
