Help Camp Starlight reach for the stars! ✨

Each year, Camp Starlight provides a one-of-a-kind summer camp experience for 50 children affected by HIV/AIDS and the stigma against the LGBTQIA+ community.

Camp has been important to my family, and I am asking for donations to help keep camp going and make sure more children have the opportunity to attend free of charge!

I have been involved with Camp Starlight for the past 12 years and currently act as the Programming Director, building a weeklong summer camp experience that offers a safe place for children between the ages of 5 to 18 to play, learn, explore, and create lasting friendships while being their authentic selves. We have all of the usual activities – swimming, singing by the campfire, making arts & crafts – as well as some fun surprises each year (Think “therapy puppies” and “mini horses”…), allowing our kiddos to enjoy themselves without the burden of stigma and judgment they may face the rest of the year.

Our ability to maintain camp year after year is only possible through the generosity of donations and volunteer support - that's where you come in! Whether it's $5 or $500, all donations funnel directly into camp operations in order to keep this experience free to families who need it most. At the end of each year's session, our campers are sent home with school supplies, clothes, and other necessities - along with the reminder that they are never alone. 

Because camp is 100% volunteer-run and the organization exists solely to put on this one week of camp per year, our costs are very low:

• $500 = Provides a week of camp for one camper
• $250 = Provides 10 camper activities instructed by outside specialists
• $100 = Provides transportation for one camper to and from camp
• $25 = Provides arts + crafts & activity supplies for one camper

Every child deserves a summer filled with joy, laughter, safety, and new experiences. Your donation can make a profound difference in a child's life, giving them the chance to create memories that will last a lifetime.
