Janis worked for 12 years in configuration software management until she suffered an unexpected medical tragedy. Ten years ago, an episode of hydrocephalus left her with an acquired brain injury that left her with short term memory deficits, leading to a loss of her career and independence. Janis now lives in assisted living where she is making friends and working to become more active. She describes herself as a smart country gal who loves animals, especially horses and dogs!
