The Mane Mission

The Mane Mission is a 4-year old grassroots nonprofit that uses Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) to improve overall wellbeing for individuals and groups.  Founded by a Licensed Professional Counselor, the mission provides mental health services to a broad spectrum of the population, especially teens.  In addition, we served over 1100 people with developmental and intellectual disabilities as a day program site in 2023 & over 1000 visitors in 2024.  The Mane Mission has grown far beyond our mom and pop initial organizational structure.  Our goal is to hire 2 full time staff so that we can continue to operate at the needed level to support the broad needs of our community.
