Pets For Patriots

Pets for Patriots helps people save pets and pets save people through companion pet adoption for U.S. military veterans and spouses of the fallen.

We are the only nationally operating 501(c)(3) organization that is open to veterans and military personnel from all armed forces and any era of service, that is focused on the most overlooked shelter pets - adult and special needs dogs/cats and large breed dogs - and committed to making pet adoption affordable for our nation's heroes.

Since our launch in 2010 we have served more than 5,000 veterans returning from war with PTSD, TBI and other psychological trauma, deploying military personnel who want to fill the void of their absence for their families back home, and veterans who are coping with loneliness and depression. For these and many other life situations, a companion pet is just the right prescription for body, mind and soul.
