Since 2003, we have served almost 12 million people across 113 countries and 625+ U.S. cities.

We believe shoes are a foundation for physical health, educational opportunity, and emotional dignity. By combining practical support with messages of encouragement, we offer more than just footwear, we offer a moment of human connection, compassion, and hope.

Samaritan’s Feet is seeking support through the Rocket Community Challenge to help bring hope to Detroit through our One City Detroit Initiative. Together, we're working to provide new shoes and hope to 1,500 individuals while uniting local partners to make a lasting impact in the community. Your support helps us reach every step of that goal.

WHY SHOES

A new pair of properly fitting shoes is a gateway to improved health, greater confidence, independence, dignity, and opportunity for children, adults, and seniors in underserved communities. 

In the United States: 

• 1 in 7 children live in poverty, and many lack properly fitting shoes, affecting their school attendance, physical activity, confidence, and overall well-being. 
• Only 1 in 3 children wear shoes that fit properly, increasing the risk of foot pain, injury, and long term foot health issues. 
• Adults experiencing financial hardship, homelessness, unemployment, or health challenges often lack the safe, durable footwear needed for work, transportation, and everyday life. 
• Seniors living on limited income may wear worn or ill-fitting shoes, leading to discomfort, reduced mobility, and increased risk of falls. 

A properly fitting pair of shoes helps people of every age move with confidence, stay active, and embrace each day with renewed hope, dignity, and opporituinty.
