Why You Should Donate
Renesting Project is a community furniture bank that provides gently used furniture and household items completely free of charge to people transitioning into permanent housing. Their clients include veterans, domestic violence survivors, single parents, and individuals recovering from homelessness. By donating, you are literally giving someone a bed to sleep on, a table to eat at, and a couch to gather around.
I need your help to defeat my wife in this challenge. Emily is the Executive Director of Renesting Project and a literal professional fundraiser. I am her unpaid "Executive Volunteer." My goal for Give For Good 2026 is to out-fundraise her on the Manchester+ team. But jokes aside, I want to win because Renesting is such a HUGE part of my life. Help me secure ultimate bragging rights AND help families rebuild their lives.
How I Came to be the "Executive Volunteer"
Emily started at Renesting as an intern right around the time we began dating. I’ve watched her grow personally and professionally, and in return, I have been systematically "voluntold" for countless tasks usually discovering my weekend assignments by spotting them on our family calendar.
Now that she is the Executive Director, I have been promoted to the highly esteemed role of Executive Volunteer. I’ll level with you: the compensation is terrible ($0.00). However, Renesting is such a cornerstone of our relationship that I even officially claimed my new title in our wedding vows.
Despite the lack of salary, I am fiercely proud to serve as the Executive Volunteer for an organization that means so much to my wife and our community.
Help me support this amazing cause (and crush my wife in a fundraising battle) by donating today! ♥
