For more than fifteen years, LYN Community has worked in the places where religious and cultural difference most often turns into conflict — and where, with the right relationships in place, it turns into cooperation instead.

This fundraiser is for friends and partners who want to stand with the whole of that work. Your gift is unrestricted, which means it goes where the need is greatest and where the opportunity is most urgent: to the trainings, the roundtables, the research, the elderly in Ukraine, and the staff who make all of it possible.

What We Do

LYNC operates across Ukraine, Central Asia, the South Caucasus, the broader post-Soviet space, and the United States — wherever we are invited to serve. Two frameworks anchor everything:

Cross-Cultural Religious Literacy (CCRL) — helping people know their own faith and what it teaches about engaging others, understand their neighbor's faith, and work together across those differences.

Covenantal Pluralism — strengthening societies by building cooperation grounded in human dignity, freedom of conscience, and mutual responsibility.

These aren't abstractions. They are what allow a pastor in Kazakhstan, a government official in Tbilisi, and a humanitarian worker in Kyiv to sit at the same table and get something done.

Where Your Gift Goes

Equipping leaders and institutions. Educational initiatives, trainings, religious engagement roundtables, and public events that give leaders practical tools for navigating diversity constructively — reducing tension, preventing radicalization, and building trust between governments, civil society, and religious communities.

Convening across divides. Our CCRL Summit in Kraków brought together practitioners from Ukraine, Central Asia, the South Caucasus, the Middle East, Indonesia, and the United States to work through the hardest cases: ethnic and religious conflict, response to war, post-communist transition, and societal polarization.

Caring for Ukraine's most vulnerable. LYNC operates seven Mercy Houses across Ukraine — homes where displaced and isolated elderly adults are housed, fed, cared for, and known by name. We also support internally displaced families and people living near active war zones through local church and community networks.

Rebuilding what war and repression took. Restoration of houses of worship and the communities gathered around them, including a historic church community in Bukhara, Uzbekistan.

Building the evidence base. Field research and published findings in a policy area where reliable primary data is extraordinarily scarce — informing our own programming and the wider field's.

Multi-faith dialogue at home. After years of international work, LYNC brought the same model to the United States to reinforce pluralistic virtues in American communities.

Why Unrestricted Giving Matters

Restricted gifts fund projects. Unrestricted gifts fund the organization that makes projects possible — the staff, the travel, the years of relationship-building that happen long before a program launches, and the ability to respond when something urgent appears with no line item attached to it.
