A Brighter Day Means Home, Help, Hope

Every May Facing Forward invites our community to imagine a future beyond homelessness. The Brighter Day Campaign is a month-long effort to help end homelessness across generations and support our neighbors as they build the bright futures they dream of.

Funds raised during the Brighter Day Campaign will fuel our work to provide long-term stable housing, comprehensive support services, and vital resources for health, education, employment, and so much more. 

Our community needs your support! Every dollar counts, and thanks to a generous anonymous funder, all new and increased gifts will be matched (up to $7,500 per gift)!

With the ongoing affordable housing shortage and the rising cost of living, it's more important than ever for families stay housed, hopeful, and empowered to reach their goals. It’s up to us to ensure housing remains the foundation our neighbors can count on.

Here's how you can make a difference:

• $1,500 - keeps a family housed for a month
• $500 - provides beds and bedding for two children in our program
• $250 - provides a complete school uniform set for a child
• $125 - covers a month of co-pays and medications
• $50 - provides a basket of household essentials for a family moving into their new home
• $25 - covers a week of transportation to job interviews and trainings

Engage your network and workplace

Whether it’s a foundation, a personal connection, or your employer, someone in your circle may be ready to support this work. Host a Brighter Day Gathering

Bring friends, family, or colleagues together to support the Brighter Day campaign. Host a house party, workplace lunch and learn, bake sale, or any other event that inspires connection and giving, and we'll provide planning support, materials, or a guest speaker. Reach out to Eliza Sykes at eliza@ffchicago.org to get started.
