Turn Hope into Healing.
Imagine the amount of violence a family must be experiencing for them to leave their own homes in search of something safer. Each year, so many members of our community make that impossible decision and find themselves at Grace Smith House.
Last year, our shelter provided 7,683 nights of safety to 157 individuals. Our shelter is more than a just a building; it provides comprehensive services and basic needs -- including meals and groceries.
Our goal is to raise $5,000 this Giving Tuesday to help feed individuals in our emergency shelter.
It costs $500 each week to purchase groceries for our 25-bed shelter. For just $100, 5 survivors in our shelter are able to eat for the entire week.
