Al Downing Tampa Bay Jazz Association Inc

 The Al Downing Tampa Bay Jazz Association provides jazz opportunities for enthusiasts throughout the Tampa Bay area.  The primary focus of the association is to encourage and promote the understanding & appreciation of jazz, its origins & evolution and presenting live performances in the Tampa Bay area.  The association is also very active in education and provides scholarships to students who plan to further their jazz studies. 

We sponsor concerts and many events that present quality Jazz and providing educational opportunities for adults and youth, our organization preserves and perpetuates Jazz as an original American art form.

Young musicians are encouraged to participate in our weekly Jazz jams and occasionally are hired to play in concerts. Intergenerational events are planned to give youngsters the opportunity to benefit from the experience and advice of veteran musicians.

ADTBJA also offers high school seniors who plan to study Jazz as a career goal the opportunity to apply for scholarships.
