Anderson-Cottonwood Christian Assistance Inc

Anderson Cottonwood Christian Assistance seeking the divine guidance of the Lord Jesus Christ in all that we do, consists of a group of local churches in the Anderson, Cottonwood, Happy Valley, Igo and Ono areas.  Christian Churches working cooperatively together to serve the human needs ministry of our local area.  Our Mission and goals are:

A. Reflect love of Christ through service to our brothers and sisters in need.

B.  To accept the challenge to witness to Gospel values and to advocate specially the dignity of each individual and their right to live.

C. To respond to Christ's challenge to His disciples: "in as much as you have done it to one of these, the least of my brethren, you have done it to Me." Matthew 25:40

D. We are volunteer organization that uses vetted church members and vetted community members to work at the food bank.

E. To establish a practical human needs ministry using the combined resource of our own area churches to respond to people in the following areas.

      1.  Local resident's ineligible to receive public assistance and/or suffering from delays in the system's ability to respond to their need (people who "fall through the cracks").      

      2.  Local residents who receive some public assistance, but because of difficulties in their life situation or unusual expenses find that assistance inadequate to meet their needs.

     3.  Emergency assistance to families and individuals suffering a temporary setback due to loss of income.

    4.  Referral to other agencies, both public, such as the Department of Social Services and private, who may be able to further assist the person in need.

    5.  Others who are referred to by area pastors or agencies as being in distress or need.
