Assistance-R-Us (ARU) is on a mission to empower the Next Generation of Tech Leaders in Miami-Dade. Through programs focused on digital literacy, tech support, and youth empowerment, we are creating an inclusive tech ecosystem where everyone has the chance to thrive. In 2023, we partnered with AT&T to bring their Connected Learning initiative to Miami, funding our Digital Navigators program at Turner Tech High school. Together, we’re making technology accessible and impactful for all.

Your Donation Makes a Difference

Your contribution on Give Miami Day goes directly toward funding ARU's impactful initiatives, including:

• ComTech Teams: Engaging youth as tech navigators and community support providers. Through our "Each One, Teach One" model, young students—especially Black and Brown youth—become digital apprentices, applying their tech skills in real-world scenarios to assist others in their community. This hands-on learning boosts their confidence, builds a sense of civic duty, and brings them into the tech landscape where they can make a difference.

• 5000 Role Models Partnership at Turner Tech High School: Working with Turner Tech’s 5000 Role Models program, we are guiding young Black men toward meaningful tech careers, filling a gap in representation within the industry. In the U.S., Black and Brown individuals represent only 15% of the tech workforce. By empowering these students, we’re creating pathways for them to join and thrive in this sector.

• Digital Navigation Program: Our digital navigators offer essential tech support to help community members connect to vital resources, from government services to employment opportunities. Every donation helps us train and equip more navigators, increasing access and inclusion in our communities.
