At AZCEND, we change lives by nourishing minds and bodies to create a connected, thriving community

People in our community are isolated, hungry, and living on the streets. We provide help and hope to individuals and families who are experiencing crisis. 

AZCEND strengthens individuals, families, and communities through each of our programs: Food Bank, Family Resource Center, Rent and Utility Assistance Program, Homeless Services Program, and Senior Programs along with Meals on Wheels. Last year:

• Our 2 Family Resource Centers taught over 2,577 hours to children in our Kindergarten Readiness Program
• Our Foodbank distributed 11,580 food boxes to families facing hunger
• Our Community Action Program prevented 4,336 utility disconnects and 3,182 evictions. Assistance from these payments totaled over $15 million.
• Our Homeless and Housing program  provided 4,794 nights of shelter to 144 people facing homelessness 
• Our Home Delivered Meals program saw over a 110% increase in needed meals for homebound seniors
  
  
  

Cindy was assisted by AZCEND last October. Through the help of donations like yours we provided food to feed her young family and rent/ utility assistance to prevent an eviction. These services made her feel as though she was not alone in her struggles as she got back on her feet. As a result, Cindy has been able to find a steady job to support her family.
