Founded in 2010, Girls Unite is a nonprofit soccer club dedicated to providing a female-centered, inclusive training environment. Our programs include introductory Microsoccer, recreational leagues, competitive travel, futsal, and sand soccer. The School Program advances equity in youth sports by ensuring all children, regardless of financial barriers, can play, learn, and thrive.

Our mission is to empower young people through soccer by fostering confidence, teamwork, and a sense of community. With our club, we serve over 800 girls and gender-expansive youth in the San Francisco area. The Girls Unite School Program extends our reach (by about 850 youth) by partnering with public schools to offer structured recess and soccer activities to students with limited access to organized sports.

Girls Unite is a nonprofit founded 10 years ago with a simple but powerful belief: every young person deserves a place to grow in confidence, community, and joy. Through soccer, mentorship, and values-driven coaching, we empower girls and gender-expansive youth to become strong athletes, courageous leaders, and connected members of their communities.

For the past decade, Girls Unite has been helping youth thrive — and we’re just getting started.

- We elevate female and gender-expansive role models—coaches, leaders, and older players—so our athletes see themselves reflected in positions of strength and possibility.
