Black Mamas Matter Alliance, Inc.

A nonprofit organization

BMMA, Inc. (Black Mamas Matter Alliance) is a global network of Black women-led organizations and multi-disciplinary professionals who work to ensure that all Black Mamas have the rights, respect, and resources to thrive before, during, and after pregnancy. BMMA honors the work and historical contributions of Black women’s leadership within their communities, and values the need to amplify this work on a global scale. The alliance is composed of existing organizations and individuals whose work is deeply rooted in reproductive justice, birth justice, and human rights frameworks.

BMMA functions as the premiere Black Maternal Health professional organization, centering the technical, training, and developmental needs of the Global Black Maternal, Perinatal, and Reproductive Health Workforce through the following goals: change policy, cultivate research, advance care for Black Mamas, and shift culture. Your gift supports this work!

JOIN IN WITH OUR YEAR-END CAMPAIGN!
Fundraising goal: $50,000

Our 2025 Year-End Giving Campaign (November 1 – December 31) celebrates the deep motivations behind every gift. Every donation is more than a contribution, it’s a part of a collective story supporting us in strengthening the Black Maternal Health workforce, advancing birth justice, and working relentlessly to help end Black Maternal Health disparities and maternal mortality.

Help us reach our $50,000 goal by giving to one of two funds described below.

Invest in the Black Maternal Health Workforce - $20,000

Give today and provide attendee scholarships for the Black Maternal Health Conference and Training Instituteâ„¢ (BMHC26).  Founded and led by BMMA, BMHC26 is the official global assembly for Black maternal health, equity, scholarship, innovation, policy, and advocacy work. BMHC26 centers Black people, clinicians, professionals, practitioners, and advocates while welcoming ALL maternal, perinatal, and reproductive health equity stakeholders seeking to learn, grow, and connect. Your gift to this fund provides Black Maternal Health professionals—such as doulas, midwives, elders, birth workers, advocates—the opportunity to immerse in this one-of-a kind gathering.

Your gift tells the story of your commitment to this movement—and  also sparks a new story for a BMHC26 attendee. Thank you!

I Support BMMA Fund (Choose"General Fund" in donation form designation) - $30,000

We invite you to make a gift to the "I Support BMMA Fund" and invest in the infrastructure and programs that sustain the Black Maternal Health movement. Your gift will power cornerstone programming like Black Maternal Health Week, sustain core operations, and give BMMA the flexibility to respond to urgent needs as they arise. Your support strengthens the foundation of this movement—building resilience, expanding capacity, and securing its future. Thank you for trusting and investing in BMMA.

Thank you for your support!
