Your donation does make a difference in the lives of Copper Mountain College students.
Your donation can help a student get to school, provide childcare while in school, buy the text book needed for class or enhance their learning in countless ways. Copper Mountain College Foundation exists to maximize the educational experience of our students. Whether at a cultural event, with the written or spoken word, or simply a beautiful Student Activity Center and Place for Veterans on campus, there are countless ways you can contribute to our students' success. And this season we proudly supported a robust Athletic Program to our campus. Men's and Women's Basketball is alive and well thanks to the support of CMC's Booster Club and people like you. We need your help. ALL donations make a difference; together we have far reaching impacts.
This campaign and #GivingTuesday is all about how together we can make a ripple into a wave! The Foundation is tasked with raising funds for the betterment of Copper Mountain College in Joshua Tree, California, our own locally grown community college which boasts a student enrollment exceeding 1,800.
Veterans, active duty military, their family members, adult learners, student athletes, students from Twentynine Palms, the Marine Base, Wonder Valley, Joshua Tree, Yucca Valley, Landers, Homestead Valley, Flamingo Heights, Morongo Valley, the Palm Springs area as far away as San Bernardino are taking classes at CMC in nursing, business, computer science, sociology, history, anthropology, economics, auto repair, culinary arts, fire science academy, EMT, paramedics, psychology, math, English, STEM, GED and high school completion.
With the rising cost of attending college, students are seeking more and more opportunities to help with transportation, books, tuition and fees. The Foundation funds free bus transportation through the Morongo Basin Transit Authority (MBTA) each semester; runs a book grant program and numerous scholarship funds on campus.
We can't do it alone. We need everyone's help to change lives. If you believe that every student deserves a chance, that everyone has the potential, the possibilities within them, then help us create the right conditions for success. You can be the inspiration for their future.
