Earth Discovery Institute's mission is to inspire stewardship of San Diego’s native biodiversity through environmental education and conservation.

Guided by the principles of inclusivity, personal empowerment, science-based curricula, collaboration, and the intrinsic value of biodiversity, we provide educational programming to underserved communities in San Diego’s east county, and partner with land management agencies across the county to restore native habitats.

Due to recent federal budget cuts, our environmental education programs are particularly at risk. Two of EDI's board of directors have pledged to match $11,000 in donations through Giving Tuesday!
