East Austin Conservancy

Our mission is to preserve the people, history and culture of East Austin by providing property tax assistance and other necessary resources to fortify the community.

SOME OF THE THINGS WE DO:

• We help pay property taxes for legacy homeowners in our service area that are at a certain income level.  This helps people, especially seniors on fixed incomes, to age in place and stay in the communities they have called home for decades. 
• We provide wrap around services to community members by connecting them to resources and helping them navigate the system. Services include home repair and bill assistance. 
• We support symbols of community strength through   advocacy and placemaking at Parque Zaragoza- the city's first public park for its Mexican American residents. 
• We boost and sponsor legacy businesses in East Austin and connect them to coaching, opportunities, and helpful tools to stay in business.
