We are filled with pride and gratitude for all we have achieved together at Empowered Theater & Arts (ETA). What began in 2023 as a bold vision for accessible, inclusive performance opportunities has grown into a thriving arts organization that continues to transform lives—on and off the stage. In just two years, we’ve produced 20 full-scale performances including a sold-out movie premiere, two artist-led cabarets, and served over 145 artists and 3,500 audience members across the Valley. This year’s production of Disney’s Aladdin Jr was a shining example of what happens when artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities are given the tools, space, and respect to share their brilliance. The growth in artistic & life skills, confidence, and collaboration has been invigorating—and the community is stronger because their voices are being heard. 

None of this is possible without you. Community support has been the heartbeat of Empowered Theater & Arts. Your donations not only sustain our programming but also demonstrate to major grantors—like the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust, who recently surprised us with a holiday gift—that inclusive arts matter. Every gift helps us build momentum, expand opportunities, and advocate for artists who deserve to be seen, heard, and celebrated. 

When asked why people should give to ETA, artist Christine Armstrong replied, “Why not! Empowered is a place where you grow; every show, every rehearsal, every day you learn so much. I am preparing for a career and it’s fun! It’s a place where I can reach my full potential…  and even though I haven’t gotten there yet, I’m opening up. I feel safe because I am in control of myself and my dreams. So, you ask, “why Empowered” and again I say “why not?”
