Family Service Association

Family Service Association (FSA) was founded by the Junior League and local faith-based organizations in the City of Riverside, who had growing concerns when they saw the deterioration of local military families in the early 50s.  Since that time, FSA has grown to be one of the largest and most trusted, multi-service, non-profits in the Inland Empire.  

For over 70 years, FSA has supported families and seniors in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, many who are hard-working but still struggle to get by with low wages, fixed incomes, and the high cost of living in California.  We have all seen that the cost of groceries, utilities, and gas have skyrocketed. A family earning minimum wage invests nearly three weeks of its monthly income to rent an apartment. And this economic case doesn't account for the urgent need for mental health supports for our children and seniors. The demand for many of our services, especially senior services, has doubled since the pandemic. 

FSA's 300 team members provide childcare, mental health support, senior meals, child abuse prevention, housing, and community to nearly 20,000 people annually. As we embark on our 71st year, we must expand our services, but we can't do it alone. If you are concerned about the state of poverty in our region, please support our efforts.
