First Step Staffing, Inc. (FSS) is a mission-driven alternative staffing organization dedicated to transforming lives. We connect men and women facing homelessness, veterans, and those recently incarcerated with sustainable employment, steady income, and the supportive services needed to succeed. Our goal is to break down barriers to employment and create pathways to economic opportunity and self-sufficiency for individuals often excluded from the workforce. Since starting in Atlanta, we’ve expanded our proven model nationwide, becoming the largest nonprofit staffing agency in the U.S. Today, we operate in six states, employing over 1,900 people each week, including 600 right here in Atlanta.
