ublic Library, Inc. (FOBJJNSPL) is a non-profit organization that fundraises exclusively to help the library imagine, create, and produce programs for everyone in our community.
Many of the programs at our library include a large variety of classes for youth and adults, summer reading activities, purchasing of books, media resources, and staff development.
The BJJNSPL Friends also organize and sponsor a wide variety of community events, such as Game Night, Bookstore sales, lectures on the Tuskegee Airmen, Black History Month, and the popular annual Kwanza celebrations, to mention a few activities with free admission.
As president of the Friends of the Betty J Johnson North Sarasota Public Library, Inc. Lois B. Wilkins said, “We pride ourselves on working diligently to raise funds for the library, and Giving Tuesday 2024 represents one of those efforts. We need your help to keep the programs at FOBJJNSPL”
