Why we are a non-profit hospice:

• Our goal at Hospice of Montgomery is to give dignity and comfort to the terminally ill in our community and support to their families and loved ones
• We utilize our funds to provide the best end-of-life care available
• We accept every eligible patient, regardless of his/her ability to pay

Where we use our donations:

• Community counseling and bereavement services
• Cancer Support Group for cancer patients in our community who are not enrolled in our hospice program but are in need of supportive counseling
• Uninsured and underinsured care
• Staff and community education
• Annual Memorial Service
• Volunteer training

 

The first hospice in Alabama, Hospice of Montgomery was founded in 1976 as a volunteer agency supported by the United Way. Hospice of Montgomery is the only independent, not-for-profit hospice organization serving the River Region and is led by an all-volunteer Board of civic leaders and individuals whose lives have been touched by a terminal illness.

Hospice of Montgomery offers hospice care to adults age 18+ diagnosed with a terminal illness/disease and who have a limited life expectancy of six months or less if the disease runs its usual course. Hospice care and bereavement services serve all sectors of the community within a 50 mile radius to include 10 counties. Our clients represent every demographical group in the River Region and hospice care is offered to every eligible patient regardless of ability to pay.
