India Home is dedicated to addressing the needs of the South Asian and Indo-Caribbean immigrant older adult community in Queens & across NYC and helping these elders age with dignity through providing culturally competent social, psychological, recreational, and spiritual services. 

We have grown a lot in the past few years, from our services to our staffing, - and we're very thankful to generous supporters like YOU for making this possible!

We are currently operating five older adult center locations in Jamaica, Flushing, Elmhurst, Ozone Park, and our main location in Jamaica Estates. Since 2023, we also started operating our Desi Senior Center to an increased 5-days-per-week, which is attended by up to 300 seniors weekly! We are proud to provide direct services including in-person and virtual yoga, mental health sessions, health lectures, dance, arts & crafts activities and more - and this time at a larger scale! 

This year marks the final year of fundraising for our South Asian Community Home (SACH) Center, a permanent space designed to bring our seniors together in community, care, and connection. Thanks to our supporters, we are on the verge of completing this vibrant new space, a first-of-its-kind gathering place for our elders. The creation of this community home will require renovations of our main location at Jamaica Estates.

But with an outdated, cluttered space, deteriorating furnishings & equipment, and new seniors attending our center everyday, we need your help this #GivingTuesday to renovate our community space. We aim to raise $30,000 to help cover renovation costs for redesigning our 3,270 square foot space headquarters. We will have dedicated Case Management areas, a Programming and Yoga Studio, Media Center, Kitchen/Culinary Corner, Dementia Day Program, Technology Hub/Computer Lab, and Staff Lounge. Your contribution, whether big or small, can help make our newly renovated center, SACH, the second home that many South Asian elders from across Queens and NYC come to visit to participate in culturally enriching, fun, and meaningful activities and events that they cannot find elsewhere. 

Small or big, your donation can help elders in our community by providing support as we build a  home away from home, where they can connect with their culture, traditions, and one another, and where they can feel a sense of belonging. 

In 2025, India Home provided 5,170 Halal/ Vegetarian Home delivered meals, 59,687 Congregate meals, 50,000+ units of Creative Aging & Exercises programming, and served 1,400+ seniors with case management services. None of these milestones could have been achieved without YOUR generosity. Today, more than 1,500 registered seniors are served at India Home, and they're counting on your support to help the construction of this center continue to move forward. 

Your donation would help support these programs, which are crucial to our seniors, by providing a new space where they can receive support from our case management team, and access meals, creative aging and all the other services that India Home provides.
