Irish Setter Rescue of North Texas

It is hard to believe given their demeanor and great beauty, but there are Irish Setters that need special help from time to time.  That is where Irish Setter Rescue of North Texas comes in.

Irish Setter Rescue of North Texas (ISRNTX) is dedicated to helping Irish Setters in need throughout the North Texas area. ISRNTX provides transportation, veterinary care, training, loving foster homes and ultimately, permanent placement for abandoned, unwanted, and neglected Irish Setters anywhere within it's ability to reach. 

Relying on volunteers dedicated to rescuing Irish Setters in need, ISRNTX assists setters that come from animal shelters, are released by owners who can no longer care for them, or are found lost or abandoned.  All dogs that come through the program are spay/neutered, microchipped, receive appropriate vet care, and go into a foster and adoption program where they begin in a loving home and await for their forever families to find them.  Rescue dogs can make wonderful lifelong companions.  If you are thinking about getting an Irish Setter, please consider saving a life by making a rescue dog part of yours.  

Irish Setter Rescue of North Texas can't continue it's work of helping Irish Setters in need without the generous donations of our supporters.  Veterinary bills make up our largest expense and often exceeds $1000 per dog.  We also support senior dogs that come to us later in life and often with medical conditions through our Forever Foster program.  This program removes the cost prohibition that can come with considering an older dog with medical issues.  

Founded in 1995, Irish Setter Rescue of N. Texas was organized specifically to rescue, shelter, provide medical care, train, and find permanent and loving homes for abandoned, abused or unwanted Irish Setter breed dogs in the North Texas area.  In addition, ISRNTX seeks to educate the public in responsible pet ownership in order to reduce the abuse and neglect of the Irish Setter breed.
