Jackson County Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers Inc

Interfaith Volunteers of Jackson County has been providing services to help individuals age in place since 1989. Interfaith is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization with a volunteer-working board of directors and five part-time employees who take the roles of everyday management. Interfaith offers services, programs, workshops, and educational events to caregivers, seniors and individuals with a disability. Some programs include, medical transportation, grocery deliveries, friendly phone calls and check-in visits, special events for individuals with disabilities, a visually impaired newspaper reading program, dementia respite day program, house cleaning, snow shoveling, resource fairs, caregiver support group and Parkinson's support group, and more.  Many of our partners collaborate with area agencies to assist with being resource connected and develop creative and innovative ways to strengthen our community together. 

Interfaith served its community out of the St. Joe's Catholic Schoolhouse, now known as the Guardian Angels Catholic Parish, up until December of 2022 when the growth of the organization showed need for more space. Interfaith staff and volunteers moved into the new Interfaith facility where we now house our volunteer services, group respite program, volunteer training and community events. This amazing building is the result of 34 years of putting faith into action, thanks to our hundreds of volunteers and many partners. With this new location, our programs run even more cohesively and help us provide critical volunteer services to our Jackson County neighborhood. We are pleased with the community support we continue to receive as we hold true to our mission: to help volunteers put their faith in action by using their gifts and talents to serve those living in our area communities.
