JGS Lifecare

JGS Lifecare is a trusted healthcare resource offering a full range of services, including: long-term skilled nursing care, short-term rehabilitation care, assisted living, home healthcare, hospice, adult day health care, subsidized independent living and specialized Alzheimer's care.

JGS Lifecare is changing, from our name (formerly Jewish Geriatric Services) to how we view the aging process and our model of delivering care.  Drive by our Longmeadow campus and see the now-under-construction Sosin Center for Rehabilitation, designed as a "Small House" to replicate the feeling of home.  This model of architecture, coupled with the delivery of superb care by a consistent team of staff every day, has been shown to transform residents' experience and improve healthcare outcomes.

That's not all we are doing! Using the most current research about what elders need most to maintain a high quality of living, we have created the JGS Lifecare Wellness and Life Enrichment Program.  Through this program, all residents and clients across our campus can choose to participate in a wide array of activities stimulating the mind, body and spirit. For example, programs like Music & Memory and Dance Movement have been shown to help elders expand their self-expression and ability to communicate while reducing anxiety. With over 50% of the people we care for in our nursing home, assisted living and adult day care program living with early demential or Alzheimer's disease, these programs take on a particularly significant role in improving quality of life.  Below are current offerings - and the list is growing!
