Kicking Out Transphobia (KOT) is a community-led initiative that uses sports as a tool for joy, connection, and resistance. Founded in Philadelphia, KOT centers transgender and gender-nonconforming individuals, creating inclusive spaces where everyone can play, belong, and thrive.

What started as a soccer charity tournament project to build visibility and inclusion has grown into a national movement — bringing together trans athletes, allies, and advocates through tournaments, kickball leagues, and educational programs across the U.S. and Mexico.

In 2025, KOT officially became a recognized 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN: 39-4104780), affirming its commitment to reinvesting every dollar back into the community. This milestone ensures that all contributions directly support programs uplifting trans and nonbinary people — from youth sports access to organizing all-trans teams at national events like the Sin City Classic, and international events in Mexico.

KOT isn’t just about playing sports. It’s about claiming space, building visibility, and showing the world that trans joy belongs everywhere — even on the field.
