KickStart International is a nonprofit social enterprise helping farming families across Africa access affordable irrigation. We design and distribute MoneyMaker pumps—simple, practical tools that enable smallholder farmers to grow crops year-round, earn steady incomes, and strengthen food security. 

With KickStart’s support, farmers have put more than 400,000 pumps to work in 17 countries—helping over 1.5 million people take a step out of poverty, create 300,000+ farm businesses, and generate more than $210 million in new profits and wages. Instead of depending on uncertain rains, farmers now grow high-value crops even in dry seasons, when demand and prices are highest. Through a network of 250+ local distributors and partnerships with governments, NGOs, and agribusinesses, KickStart ensures these tools are accessible and sustainable.
